LODGING & TEMPORARY HOUSING FOR PEOPLE TRAVELING WITH PETS
FAQ...Is your hotel Pet Friendly? You have dogs, can I bring mine? Yes we do have dogs and love animals.
Our ground floor street side unit 7 is PET FRIENDLY for dogs only... Sorry, no cats or other critters.
(Dogs MUST be preapproved with prior authorization.
***PET FEES: Per Night, Pet Pet $30
***We have an UNAUTHORIZED Pet Fine of $300 and a strict policy for immediate termination and no refund.
***The UPPER FLOOR Suites ARE NOT Pet Friendly... We DO NOT ACCEPT CATS...We get a lot of people that come to the area due to allergies. Since this is another area of our interest we try our best to keep our upper allergen-free. Our upper floor has a common hallway and balcony. Common areas are always an issue when it comes to pets, another reason for no pets on the upper floor. It is unfortunate that too many pet owners are not considerate of those around them or property that belongs to someone else. Consequently, they present problems for the rest of us.
It's a lot of work maintaining cleanliness when you have animals. There's the hair, the dander and other critters and or issues. After someone leaves that has stayed with a pet, we completely disinfect and wash all the walls besides the floors, and everything in between. There is the expected accident for a pet in a new or unfamiliar area. And yes I've heard it all. My pet don't do this or that...Come on...It's always those that say it the most that end up being the biggest problem. Even my dogs are well behaved, and I'd never say... My pet wouldn't have an accident. My pet don't shed. My pet don't have dander. My pet wouldn't bite. My dog don't bark! I mean even humans have dander and hair shed, can have a accident, or bite! And we should have more control! It's amazing the human dander alone, just after a weekend stay...I know...I clean my rooms...
Sorry... I love cats just as much, but due to the protein (from the cat's saliva) which are allergenic and can be strong irritants to people with cat allergies is a real problem in a setting like ours. It is a costly process to remedy, so unfortunately, my little boutique hotel does not have a cat friendly suite.
It is virtually impossible to remove cat odor and imbedded allergens from carpeting that has been on the floor for a long period of time. It is even worse if the cat or dog urinates on the carpet or "sprays" on the furniture or wood floors.
Approximately 10 million Americans are allergic to cat dander, the most common pet allergen. Cat dander is also one of the smallest and lightest allergens, which means that it easily spreads out to places far away from the cat. Cat dander can float in the air for hours at a time and can be found in homes months after the cat has moved away.
For the longer Vacation Rental Stays: $300 Non-Refundable Cleaning/De-Pet Sanitization Fee (signed agreement, pet fee plus additional rental rate)... There are very few short term (corporate) rentals that will allow pets. We will consider allowing you to have no more than two domesticated (house broken) dogs stay with you during your stay in our ground floor available units. Note that NO OTHER pets of any kind are allowed. NO PETS ARE ALLOWED ON THE UPPER FLOOR and common areas AT ANY TIME.
We charge a non-refundable pet cleaning fee of $300.00 – payable in advance for our extended stay vacation rentals. ***Note that this fee is NOT a damage deposit – any damage done by your pet(s) will be withheld from your general security deposit. This fee is simply our way of being sure we can clean wood floors, carpets/rugs (if any), bring in a ozone machine, or do anything else necessary to insure that our next guests have no indication at all that a pet was in residence before them. The fee is non-refundable and compensates us for any extra expense we might incur while providing you with the privilege and convenience of having your pets with you. This expense also costs us up to two full days of not being able to rent the unit after your departure to DE-Pet the unit.
Lastly, there is an additional monthly rental fee charged if you want your pets with you. The minimum additional rent is $150/month for one pet. $200/month for two pets.
We understand how important it is to keep your pets with you and have calculated our extra charges based on past experience and a desire to be as cost effective for you as possible. If you rent with another provider that doesn’t allow pets, you will have to board your pets elsewhere. For your convenience, a full listing of sources for boarding your pet can be found at http://www.yellowpages.com by entering “Pet Boarding & Kennels” in the Business Name field and “Cottonwood, AZ” in the City and State field and then pressing the Search button.
